These Terms & Conditions govern the use of Clavell & Hind and any purchases, bookings, tickets, or services provided by Clavell & Hind (“we”, “our”, “us”).

By using this website, placing an order, making a booking, or attending our venue or events, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree, you must not use this website or our services.

2. Age Restrictions

We sell alcoholic beverages and operate a strict Challenge 25 policy.

You must be aged 18 years or over to:

  • Purchase alcohol;
  • Collect alcohol orders;
  • Attend age-restricted events.

We reserve the right to request valid photographic identification at any time.

Accepted forms of identification include:

  • UK driving licence;
  • PASS-approved identification card.

Orders or entry may be refused where acceptable identification is not provided.
Attempting to purchase alcohol on behalf of underage persons is prohibited.

3. Collection Only Policy

All online purchases are strictly collection only unless expressly stated otherwise.
We do not currently offer delivery services.

Customers will be notified when orders are ready for collection.

Orders must be collected from our premises during designated collection times.

We reserve the right to refuse collection where the following applies:

  • Proof of age cannot be verified.
  • The customer appears intoxicated.
  • Abusive or unsafe behaviour occurs.

4. Orders and Payments

All orders are subject to:

  • Product availability;
  • Acceptance by Clavell & Hind;
  • Successful payment processing.

We reserve the right to:

  • Refuse or cancel orders;
  • Limit quantities;
  • Amend pricing errors;
  • Withdraw products without notice.

Prices displayed include VAT where applicable unless otherwise stated.

Payment processing is handled securely through approved third-party payment providers.

We do not store full payment card details.

5. Taproom Bookings and Reservations

Bookings for tables, private hire, or events may require deposits or advance payment.

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • Deposits are non-refundable;
  • Bookings are non-transferable without permission;
  • Minimum spend requirements may apply for private hire.

We reserve the right to:

  • Refuse entry;
  • Remove guests behaving inappropriately;
  • Cancel bookings where licensing, safety, or operational concerns arise.

Customers remain responsible for the conduct of all members of their party.

6. Event Tickets

Tickets purchased for events are subject to the following conditions:

  • Tickets may not be exchanged or refunded except where required by law;
  • Event line-ups, timings, menus, or entertainment may change;
  • Tickets must not be resold for commercial gain without permission;
  • Management reserves the right to refuse admission.

If an event is cancelled by Clavell & Hind, customers will normally be offered:

  • A refund; or
  • Transfer to an alternative date where appropriate.

We are not responsible for:

  • Travel costs;
  • Accommodation costs;
  • Indirect losses arising from event changes or cancellations.

7. Venue Conduct

To maintain a safe environment, customers must:

  • Comply with staff instructions;
  • Behave respectfully toward staff and guests;
  • Comply with licensing laws and venue rules.

We reserve the right to refuse service or remove individuals for:

  • Intoxication;
  • Aggressive or abusive behaviour;
  • Illegal activity;
  • Behaviour impacting the safety or enjoyment of others.

No refund will be provided where removal is due to misconduct.

8. Food, Allergens and Dietary Requirements

We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate allergen information.

However:

  • Food and drinks are prepared in shared environments;
  • Allergens may be present;
  • We cannot guarantee the absence of allergens.

Customers must inform staff of allergies or dietary requirements before ordering.

Consumption of products remains at the customer’s own risk.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including:

  • Logos;
  • Branding;
  • Text;
  • Photography;
  • Graphics;
  • Menus;
  • Designs;

remains the property of Clavell & Hind unless otherwise stated.

Content may not be copied, reproduced, or used commercially without prior written consent.

  • Attempt unauthorised access;
  • Upload malicious software;
  • Interfere with website security or operation.

We may suspend or restrict access where misuse is suspected.

11. Promotions, Gift Vouchers and Offers

Promotions, discounts, and gift vouchers:

  • May be subject to additional terms;
  • May be withdrawn without notice;
  • Cannot usually be exchanged for cash.

Expired vouchers may not be redeemable unless legally required.

Management decisions regarding promotions are final.

12. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clavell & Hind shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses;
  • Loss of profits or business;
  • Website interruptions;
  • Third-party failures;
  • Customer property loss or damage unless caused by negligence.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for:

13. Photography and Marketing

Photography or filming may occasionally take place at events or within the taproom for promotional purposes.

By attending public events, customers acknowledge that images or recordings may be used in marketing materials or social media.

Customers may contact us if they wish to request removal of identifiable imagery where reasonably practicable.
